Davao football - Hooligans, Lady Knights rule

THE Hooligans FC and Lady Knights topped their respective divisions at the close of the Mayor Rody and Vice Mayor Sara 24th Kadayawan Football Festival at the Tionko field over the weekend.
The Hooligans placed first in the men's open first division, while Columbia Football Club (FC) placed second and Seagull FC of Guihing finished third in the meet presented by Davao City Mayor Rodrigo R. Duterte and Vice Mayor Inday Sara Duterte.

The Lady Knights, meanwhile, bested D' Davao Survivors and Medvil in the ladies event that attracted six other teams, including Central Mindanao University (CMU), University of the Philippines (UP) A and B, Holy Child School of Davao, Solido and Philippine Women's College (PWC).
In the second division, Datu Ibrahim FC Uni Fruitti of Cotabato lorded it over Central Mindanao University and Davao City National High School (DCNHS) '95 which took the next two spots of the 11-team category.
Ateneo topped the elementary girls division at the expense of SOS Children's Village, Brainworks and Catalunan Grande. Ateneo also ruled the girls 10-under event over Don Marcelino of Davao del Sur and Sakya FC.
CMU, however, led the boys 10-under group A, while Ateneo Blue led group B in the bootfest organized in coordination with the Sports Development Division of the City Mayor's Office (SDD-CMO), Davao Football Association and UP Min.
Top teams in 16-under were Ateneo Red (group A), Montevista B (group B), Maco A (group C), Ateneo White and CMU (group D) and Ateneo Blue (group E).
