Official statement of Arnold Clavio on the Azkals issue

GMA News anchor Arnold Clavio responds to criticisms about the recent remarks he made about the sexual harassment case currently faced by some members of the Philippine Azkals:

Clavio I thought you should know better than to make quick judgment.

  2. Like sexual harassment racism is a vile act. The case against the said individuals was already brought to the AFC but instead of waiting for the verdict clavio and ramos went on a lynch hunt. This wasn’t merely an opinion of an idiot. It was a lynching. what both players may have said to the female match commissioner may have been insulting to her but clavios statements was not only a attack the foreign born Filipinos playing for our national team but an assault on every Filipino who may be working aboard, born outside our shores, of mix ethnicity and naturalized even Filipinos.
racism is a despicable crime. His employers should bring the hammer down on this racist. Ramos in an interview wanted to suspend and ban even both her alleged assailants together with all the other players. Shouldn’t clavios statement merit the same punishment? This 46 year old man a veteran journalist went on the reampage without even hearing the sides of both of the accused acted as both judge an executioner becoming a vigilante of sort for ramos. Now the lynching had back fired. A measly apology is not sufficed. His employers should not only suspend him for his slurs but fire him. Again The issue here is not about ramos’ allegation but clavios racist statement.

  3. Well said. I even think that Ramos must taken issue with "fil-fors" in the NT in general. I think this is a case or an effort to get rid of our other Filipino brothers in the NT. Lol

  4. For me. you have done the already you don't think that you are responsible to what the words comes out to your mouth. there are more than a million Filipinos here (MIDDLE EAST) saw and heard of what your talking about.Being a journalist,an anchor you should be careful to your words.

For us we are affected the way you speak "PAGPAPANGAP...etc. etc..you don't even realized those people are our National teams and what their "MOTHERS / FATHERS " felt about your judgmental words.

Don't tell us you don't have any purpose..to insult our NT,?
So where is your CORE VALUE being a journalist??????

Now, you kept calling us IGAN? shame...even words of IGAN baka di mo alam..?

Its better you have to get out on that TV station we dont want to see your FACE ANYMORE..

    THINK ABOUT IT....

  5. This is in continuation of my previous post, a reaction to clavio’s statement about the seriousness of sexual harassment. As i’ve said sexual harassment is a vile crime, but to some sectors racism is an equally or has a greater significance to its vileness.
But for clavio to distance his himself from the gravity of his racial slurs and again point his finger at the supposed actions of moy and guirado is not only wrong but utterly disdainful. This NAZI has not only put in question the integrity of his profession but the integrity of the whole nation. If he doesn’t think his actions are serious the he doesn’t deserve to be called a journalist nor work as one.

  7. We salute the action taken by the PFF, regarding the statement of Mr. CLAVIO last March 13,2012 on TV program

For me, we should not tolerate this kind of behavior unprofessional character for accusing a person (RACISM) particularly to our NT-AZKALS, an achor a journalist... shame...

Mr. CLAVIO, we are an OFW, living here,(Miiddle East) if we have a child born here ...what you mean by that?

Hope you learned from your mistakes...

  11. If GMA doesnt do anything about this matter apart from Clavio's lame excuses, that means that they, too, tolerate RACISM!
