  3. Shut up johnny. How could you think like that? They're a crappy team Malaysia.

  4. What's your problem? That's Jonny's opinion and IMO that was a good prediction, I see our team losing 2-1 but we have a good chance to draw and a slight chance to win. Don't forget that some of the players only came here for the friendlies and they've only trained with the team in about a week or so.

If your basis is our previous match against Malaysia, yes we dominated them in the 1st half but did you notice that they did not field their best players in that half? Did you see how the game shifted in their favor by the 2nd half when they subbed in some of the players and they started pressing? Did you see how they aggressively their wing players attacked? Carli was having a hard time and we don't have Cagara and Jonsson as LB for this match.

Predicting a loss doesn't mean that we don't support the team, it only means that we understand the game.

    1. Yeah because Weiss took out Wolf and replaced him with idiots like Gener and I think even Margarse played in that game. They will get the ball in dangerous areas and wouldn't know what to do. Malaysia took advantage of this and pushed harder for an equalizer. But we needn't worry for we don't have these idiots anymore.

Please try not to pretend you understand the game.

  6. Azkals had problem beating Ceres Fc from Bacolod and draw Global Fc who played without NT players . Malaysia is better than Ceres FC.... Without Phil Y , who is going to score ?
Malaysia is also fielding a much better team than in Feb 29 friendly

    1. Yeah because crummy players played. Now we have Schrock and Mulders and Wolf there's no way Malaysia crap team can best us. I won't accept a draw I won't accept a defeat.

    2. ^^Meh. No surprise there. lol! Being passionate is one thing, but being completely ignorant and acting like a spoiled brat is another and you're clearly the latter. This is also why [sadly] the Philippines will never a be a proper footballing nation.

    3. why so ignorant to the Malaysian team...they are still ahead of us. Just why we will field some of our excellent Euro based players it doesn't mean we will easily win. I predict a close game maybe 2-1 or 2-0 for Malaysia. We have no real goalgetter as Phil, who seems is the only one to score a goal, is missing...and apart of it: in the Suzuki cup we have to do it without our star players....and that's what is really crap

    4. and you say you know football? bare in mind that south east asia is one of the worst footballing regions in the world. if you put malaysia, indonesia, or thailand against minnows in europe and africa those teams will look like barcelona. south east asian teams struggle against south asian teams like india and bangladesh. and they are a cricket country! only singapore would look like a real team because of their naturalized players.

so dont go telling me that they can beat us when we have schrock, mulders, wolf and guirado in the team. the only reason they drew against us and dominated the 2nd half the last time we met was becuase of coaching blunders. sending in gener, and putting him in crucial areas on the pitch (back four). we were also poorly captained - james younghusband is a whiney retard. setting a bad example by whining and complaining.

but the first half was dominated by us. we were the better team. we were stronger on the ball.

malaysians, and indonesians will struggle agaisnt bigger players. they dont have the ability to beat teams with tall players. that is why no south east asian team ever got past the 4th round in the world cup qualifiers.

so dont tell me that they are better than us! we have european blood! 300 years of spanish occupation, thats why filipinos are the tallest south east asians. indonesians killed all the creoles and halfies in their country 80 years ago... and all they are left with are pygmies and midgets! they are no match to us!

you didnt know that, now you know.

    5. "you didnt know that, now you know."

LMAO @ you trying to to give a lecture. Whatever.... haha

"so dont go telling me that they can beat us when we have schrock, mulders, wolf and guirado in the team."

Having talent as individuals is one thing, but putting it all together for a good team is another. At the same time its not like all our foreign born players are technically gifted of the highest order. If they were they'd all be playing in Europe and for the ones that are, they'd be playing at much higher level.

"malaysians, and indonesians will struggle agaisnt bigger players. they dont have the ability to beat teams with tall players."

In general I'd agree. But based on today's game, they definitely were able to mix it up with these 'giants' of ours. And being bigger doesn't mean they're better.

"that is why no south east asian team ever got past the 4th round in the world cup qualifiers."

Disagree. The reason is that Southeast Asian players just aren't good enough period. Never mind physique or lack of. As you said, SEA is one of the worst regions in world football.

  11. As long as it stas like this I'm satisfied. We didn't field our best squad while playing against a good Malaysian team in their own stadium and still held them to a scoreless draw. Good job Azkals! Even if the match was boring tbh.

  12. I'm glad I was the only one who thought it was just a tad bit boring. But yes, I am glad that we did not lose. A draw is better than losing.

  13. Wasnt able to watch the game. Which one of the azkals stood out? How good is Wolf?

  14. "We didn't field our best squad"

Seriously, aren't you guys sick of saying this over and over and over again ? lol

If we really want to be a part of the football world, we just need to get used to it. It's always extremely hard for ANY teams to put their very best 11 on the pitch. Injuries, club commitments, suspensions, private problems or whatever are always around with at least a player or two and that's why it's said that "depth" is a crucial factor to make a strong team. If YH bros and Neil played tonight we would've played better? Probably yes, probably no. Who knows Neil would make a mistake at the scenes where Muller made great saves ? Just forget about BEST 11. We always have to fight with best 15 or best 20 as every other footballing nations do.

    1. Well said. Look at the Singapore match. We had a very good starting eleven, but werent able to beat them.

    2. we have not beaten malaysia but definitely we are not anymore the whipping boys of southeast asia. more playing time together and we will already be with the top 5 of the region. lets forget for a while how far we are from the best in asia. lets take it one step at a time. until now I don't know why coach still insists on using araneta. I am sure there are younger forwards who can are more creative than him.

    3. Field a filipino team with homegrown players only and we will still be the whipping boys. Even if the azkals have caught up with other SEA national teams, we are still behind SEA in other aspects. Heck, we barely beat Mongolia on hometurf with a decent team.

    4. So we didn't field a Filipino team tonight? What the hell are you talking about?

    5. ^^Can't you read?! He said HOMEGROWN players and he's absolutely right.

  15. Caligdong was non factor. I still don't know why he's captain.

    1. I still don't why he gets selected let alone as captain. The guy is massively overrated.

  16. You guys, stop with the "homegrown" shit. Seriously, it's been so long and you guys are still whining about not having all pureblood filipinos? I don't know if you noticed, but other NTs also have players coming in from other parts of the world.
It might just be that I live in America, but I've acquired an indifference to these nativist mentality. It is time that you guys do too. We're finally starting to rise in football but you guys won't let anyone feel the joy and keep bringing back the "whipping boy" shit all the time. What joy does doing that bring you?

OTL And to the delusional people, we did our best, and we just hope for something good. Stop making excuses.

    1. LOL!! Another moron that can't read!! The point of the person who brought the "homegrown shit" as you put it, is just reminding people that we still got a long way to go! Nobody mentioned anything about "pureblood Filipinos". If you actually had a fucking brain, then you'd know that you can be a foreigner and still be "homegrown". It's only you that's acting all stuck up.

Nobody is denying anyone of any joy but its a good thing, believe it or not, that people get reminded that we still got a long way to go! You say that we're starting to rise in football? To a certain extent... sure, but to be able to really say that, things needs to develop and move forward DOMESTICALLY!! You could field a national team made up entirely of naturalized foreigners and be competitive internationally, but it doesn't mean that the country is actually rising in football! LOL!! You're clearly the deluded one around here Mr. America!

  17. Well you guys think that I game will make a big difference for the our Phil. team. They are still adjusting and trying their best to become a team.
Fine words and admonition would be nice.
Some great teams have been playing for decades already. Ours started only 4 to 5 years only with the Fil-foreigners.
We are still adjusting and positively improving.
    Cut all your crappy words.
Just support the 3 stars and the sun team, Azkals GO.

  18. what was the different with these two teams and others with malaysia team? Malaysia is purely 100% local players or known as Malaysian, and they were current AFF10 and SEA GAMES Champions 2011, and what about Azkal? Even using Europe based players but still couldn't win the match or the Cups in South East region .. it all about national spirit, developing the players are the most important thing in our country, we support our team with all our heart even loss or win.., good luck Azkal..from Malaysia.
