UFL : Stallion , Loyola look for third straight wins against Army and Air Force

Karl Decena, InterAKTV ·

Stallion Sta.Lucia and the Loyola Meralco Sparks target their third straight victories in separate matches in United Football League action Thursday at the Emperador Stadium in Mckinley Hill in Taguig.
Stallion faces Philippine Army at 5:15 p.m., while the Sparks meet Philippine Air Force at 7:30 p.m.
Both Stallion and Loyola won their first two matches of the season to gain six points and figure in a tie in the second place behind leader defending League champion Global FC in the League table.
With that, the two squads are expected to come as favorites in their matches against the two Armed Forces teams, which, in contrast, lost their first matches of the season.
Army last played in a 4-1 loss to the Sparks in the UFL opener almost two weeks ago, while Air Force suffered a 1-0 defeat to Nomads FC in the league’s debut at the new artificial pitch last February 9.
The two matches will pit some of the members of the national team against each other. Midfielder Jason De Jong will play for Stallion, while goalkeeper Eduard Sacapaño will man the posts for Army.
Brothers Phil and James Younghusband are also expected to spearhead the Sparks against the Ian Araneta-led Air Force.
AKTV will start the live coverage at 5 p.m.
