Younghusbands, Schrock headline Azkals' pool for September friendlies

Metro Manila (CNN Philippines) — The Philippine Football Federation (PFF) released the 22-man roster on Monday for their upcoming friendlies against Turkmenistan and the Kyrgyz Republic.
Phil Younghusband, Stephan Schröck, and Kevin Ingreso return to the fold after missing out on the FIFA World Cup Qualifying victory against North Korea due to injury.
While James Younghusband retains his spot in the team after an encouraging performance against the North Koreans.
Recently retired Juani Guirado, Dominic del Rosario, OJ Clarino, Jorrel Aristorenas, and Tomas Trigo who were part of the previous Azkals pool were left out.

Azkals coach Thomas Dooley selected familiar faces for the friendlies, with almost the entire lineup being composed of national team veterans.
Kaya defender Junior Muñoz is the newest addition to the pool.
The Philippine Azkals will face Turkmenistan at the Philippine Sports Stadium in Bocaue on September 2, before flying out to Bishkek to take on the Kyrgyz Republic.
According to the PFF, the two September fixtures are part of the national team's build up for the upcoming ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) Suzuki Cup in November.
